How many times can I earn points for each activity on the UTEP FanZone website?

• Register on the UTEP FanZone platform – one time award of 100 points.
• Complete your full profile on UTEP FanZone – one time award of 100 points.
• Swipe your student card (Miner Maniacs) at UTEP games – each game earns 500 points (must provide your student ID number at registration on the UTEP FanZone site).
• Swipe your student card (non-Miner Maniacs) at UTEP games – each game earns all non-Miner Maniacs 100 points (must provide your student ID number at registration on the UTEP FanZone site).
• Share something from the UTEP Athletics &/or the PayDirt Pete Facebook pages – earn 50 points for each share; limit three shares per day, per page (must link your personal Facebook page to the UTEP FanZone page before being awarded points for Facebook activities).
• Post on the UTEP Athletic &/or the PayDirt Pete Facebook pages – earn 50 points for each share; limit three shares per day, per page (must link your personal Facebook page to the UTEP FanZone page before being awarded points for Facebook activities).

• Check in at events and sponsors – 75 points earned for each check in; limit one per event.
• Text a UTEP short code – one time award of 500 points for each short code per game (must provide your cell number in registration on the UTEP platform to be awarded points for texting).
• Invite a friend to the UTEP FanZone site – earn 75 points each time you send an invite; limit 10 invites per day.
• Uploading a photo to the UTEP Fanzone platform – earn 50 points per photo; up to 3 photos per day.
• Vote on a photo for a contest – earn 50 points per vote; up to 3 votes per day.
• Guess the correct score of the game – earn 150 points for guessing the correct score of the game before anyone else. Even if you are not the first to guess the score, you will earn points for getting the score correct at some point during the game. Point values will be awarded as follows:
• 1st to guess the correct score – 150 points plus a prize
• 2 - 25 to guess the correct score – 75 points
• 26 – 50 to guess the correct score – 50 points
• 50+ to guess the correct score – 25 points

If I am not a student, can I still earn prizes?
Yes! All UTEP FanZone fans are eligible to win prizes!

Do my points ever expire?
Yes, all points expire on June 30th each year. Everyone will have a zero balance at the beginning of each school year but will carry a history of lifetime points if you play from year to year.

If I play Pete’s Picks on the UTEP FanZone platform and earn points, do those points count towards my UTEP FanZone points?
Yes, all points earned within the UTEP FanZone website will be earned in one point category. Any UTEP game you pick the correct score on through Pete’s Picks will award you points in your profile on UTEP FanZone.

If I register for UTEP FanZone through Facebook, will my privacy settings affect point earning?
Yes, be sure that when you accept the applications you click agree for each of the needed areas. You may need to change your app security settings in Facebook.

When I registered for UTEP FanZone through Facebook, the website automatically updated my profile picture from my Facebook page, if I change my profile picture on Facebook, will it change on UTEP FanZone?
Yes, if you register through Facebook, any change to your profile picture on Facebook will update on UTEP FanZone also.

What if I don’t have a Facebook or Twitter account, can I still earn points?
Yes, you do not need to integrate any of your social media accounts to participate at UTEP FanZone. The only way to earn points within UTEP FanZone for activity on Facebook and Twitter is to integrate your personal account with the UTEP FanZone platform. There are additional ways to earn points within the platform itself. Of course the more point categories you can use, the better chance to earn more points.

I completed a point earning activity but did not earn points right away, why?
Points can be delayed up to 24 hours (longer for weekend games) before they may show up in your Pete Points. Remember each point earning activity has a limit on how many points you can earn each day. Be sure to check the list of earning activity listed here in the FAQ’s.

Is gaming the system allowed?
No, any account or action that is created with the intent to game the system will be removed and all points earned will be revoked. This includes setting up fake accounts on Twitter to tweet the same message over and over or to post images or content that are not relevant to UTEP FanZone. Activities on Facebook such as posting, then deleting and re-posting the same content or liking, then un-liking the same content will also not be allowed.

Redemption Catalog:

1. For a limited time, UTEP Fanzone is offering an opportunity for members to redeem a limited amount of their points for certain items.
2. The timing, items, point value, redemption limitations and all other redemption matters are at UTEP’s sole and complete discretion and may be changed in UTEP’s discretion at any time and for any reason.
3. Quantities of items available for redemption are limited. UTEP reserves the right to make an equal substitution should the need arise due to availability or other reason.
4. Items redeemed by member shall be non-refundable, non-exchangeable and should be handled and used at member’s own risk. Augeo & UTEP shall have no liability and member shall indemnify Augeo or UTEP against any and all claims related to the possession, handling and/or usage of such redeemed item.
